General Summary of Job Details :
The Billing System Analyst I plays an important role in maintaining the stability and performance of billing and related systems used internally and by customers. This position collaborates with operations and service delivery teams to monitor applications, ensure system availability, and support efficient runtime performance. The analyst helps maintain reliable system operations through monitoring tools, automation, and timely issue resolution.
The role focuses on ensuring that software platforms and supporting infrastructure operate smoothly so the organization can deliver consistent service to its clients.
Basic Qualifications :
Candidates applying for this role should meet the following requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (Software, Electrical, or Telecommunications), or a similar discipline.
Foundational knowledge of telecommunications systems, billing platforms, and IT service management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Remedy.
Basic troubleshooting ability with Unix/Linux and SQL environments.
Basic troubleshooting ability with Unix/Linux and SQL environments.
Approximately 1–2 years of experience working with system monitoring or ITSM processes.
Familiarity with databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
Experience using monitoring tools, scripts, and automated alerts for system tracking.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor billing platforms and related applications to ensure continuous performance and availability.
Perform initial analysis and troubleshooting using established operational procedures.
Identify trends in alerts or incidents and contribute to proactive monitoring improvements to prevent recurring issues.
Understand customer service level agreements (SLAs) and manage tasks according to priority and impact.
Work with support teams (L2/L3), customers, and vendors to resolve functional or technical problems.
Use scripting or monitoring tools (such as shell, Perl, or similar technologies) to assist in system monitoring and automation.
Communicate technical issues clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Maintain documentation for system operations, configurations, and architecture.
Record detailed timelines of events during major alerts or incidents.
Ensure smooth shift handovers and coordination across support teams and external partners.

Basic understanding of Linux platforms and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, Groovy, or Bash.
Strong communication abilities and customer-focused mindset.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage operational workflows effectively.
