General Summary of Job Details :
Job Requirements :
Working knowledge of the ITIL framework and its application in operational environments
Ability to perform Level 1 network monitoring and provide initial technical support.
Capability to identify basic network issues, conduct preliminary troubleshooting, and escalate faults appropriately
Clear understanding of incident management processes and best practices.
Strong adherence to documented operational procedures and workflows
Foundational knowledge of networking concepts including Ethernet, Spanning Tree, TCP/IP, and routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
Basic familiarity with Cisco operating systems such as IOS and CatOS
Experience using ticketing systems and handling change management requests.
Exposure to network monitoring, management, and analysis tools
Experience coordinating with telecom carriers and external vendors for fault resolution.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with good interpersonal abilities.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform routine system maintenance, backups, and health checks
Monitor and manage service level agreements (SLAs).
Prepare periodic reports including monthly uptime, bandwidth usage, and interface utilization
Diagnose and resolve network and application connectivity issues.
Handle incident tracking, resolution, and escalation as per defined processes
Submit regular performance and equipment status reports and participate in review discussions.
Generate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports related to interface utilization, hardware status, and SLA compliance
Support operations in a 24×7 shift-based environment.
Qualification :
B.E. / B.Tech / MCA with CCNA or an equivalent networking certification
