General Summary of Job Details :
We are looking for a skilled Observability Engineer with expertise in Elastic and Prometheus systems to join our observability team. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting, developing, maintaining, and improving our cloud, on-premise systems and data centers, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
Basic Requirements
Must have:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 3+ years or 2+ years of professional experience respectively
Proven experience with Elastic, Prometheus, and other observability tools
Strong understanding of cloud systems architecture and infrastructure
Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, Bash)
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, MicroShift)
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Expertise in building high scale systems
Strong level of curiosity and interest to learn
Good to have:
Knowledge of security best practices
Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning
Good understanding of CI/CD frameworks
Certification in relevant observability tools
Certification in Red Hat ecosystem or Kubernetes is a plus
