General Summary of Job Details :
Core Responsibilities –
Develop and maintain backend applications and RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails.
Work with modern Rails environments (Ruby 3.x, Rails 7.x) and application servers such as Puma.
Create and enhance user interface components using HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and ERB templates within Rails applications.
Execute and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and Robot Framework.
Work in Linux (Ubuntu) environments for development, testing, and deployment activities.
Write clean, maintainable code in languages including Python, Groovy, TypeScript, JavaScript, and C#.
Design, query, and optimize databases using SQL, particularly PostgreSQL.
Utilize version control systems (Git/GitHub) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins to manage code integration and deployment.
Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and continuous code quality improvements.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and monitor defects through resolution.
Collaborate effectively within Agile teams alongside developers, QA engineers, and DevOps professionals.
Use AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot) to enhance coding efficiency and automation workflows.
Apply AI solutions for automated test case generation, intelligent test data creation, enhanced UI/API test coverage, and smart code review recommendations.
Required Qualifications –
1–3 years of experience in software development or automation testing.
Practical experience with Ruby on Rails (MVC architecture: models, controllers, views).
Basic front-end development knowledge using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with Python and Selenium for automation testing.
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Foundational knowledge of SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Preferred (Good-to-Have) Skills –
Experience with Rails testing frameworks such as RSpec or Minitest.
Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.
