General Summary of Job Details :
Junior Financial Analyst – Cost Accounting Solutions to join its finance team in Chennai. In this role, you will assist with cost accounting activities, support financial reporting tasks, and collaborate with operations teams to help improve financial processes and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
Carry out assigned cost accounting tasks in line with internal processes and guidelines.
Follow company policies and monitor important cost accounting metrics.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs through process enhancements and small improvement initiatives.
Work closely with the operations team to investigate and track reasons behind performance or metric deviations.
Record month-end accounting entries such as accruals and reclassifications in the ERP system.
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and keep documentation updated in the document management system.
Learn cost accounting processes and provide backup support to the cost accounting function when needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Analytical thinking and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Interest in learning and applying new accounting concepts in daily work.
Educational background such as B.Com, BBA (Finance), M.Com, or MBA (Finance).
Suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience.
Understanding of accounting principles and the ability to interpret accounting policies.
