Role Overview :
Position: Analyst – Technology Risk (Assurance)
Location: Pune
This position is part of the Advanced Manufacturing, Mobility & Infrastructure (AMI) industry practice. The AMI sector includes industries such as aerospace and defense, chemicals, infrastructure, automotive, transportation, industrial products, and mobility services. Teams within this group collaborate across sectors to help organizations respond to evolving market demands and operational challenges. By sharing knowledge and resources across industries, AMI helps deliver more integrated and effective solutions for clients worldwide.
About Technology Risk Assurance :
The Assurance function aims to strengthen trust and transparency in financial reporting and business processes. Through robust audit and risk assessment practices, the team helps organizations maintain regulatory compliance, build stakeholder confidence, and support sustainable economic growth.
Key services delivered by the Assurance practice include:
External audit services
Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS)
IFRS and US GAAP conversions
Support for IPOs and public offerings
Corporate treasury advisory and IFRS 9 implementation assistance
Qualifications :
Bachelor of Technology (Computer Science)
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical or related discipline)
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
Responsibilities :
Performing IT audits to assess compliance with regulatory standards and internal control frameworks, including Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
Reviewing IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Application Controls (ITACs) to ensure the reliability of financial reporting systems.
Supporting SOX compliance activities, including risk assessments, control testing, and remediation tracking.
Preparing and reviewing Service Organization Control (SOC) reports to evaluate the effectiveness of control environments.
Conducting IT process assessments through documentation review, data validation, and stakeholder interviews.
Applying knowledge of IT systems and internal controls to deliver high-quality audit engagements.
Evaluating Change Management processes to ensure system changes are properly reviewed, tested, and authorized.
Reviewing Access Management practices to confirm appropriate user permissions and security controls.
Assessing Segregation of Duties (SoD) risks to minimize conflicts and unauthorized access.
Working with cross-functional teams to identify control weaknesses and recommend improvement plans.
Keeping up to date with regulatory updates, industry developments, and emerging technology risks.
Communicating audit observations, recommendations, and progress updates to management and stakeholders.
Work effectively in collaborative team environments across multiple client engagements
Approach complex issues with practical, solution-oriented thinking
Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn
Maintain a positive attitude while managing multiple priorities
Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders
