Key Responsibilities:
As a Quality Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting both functional and automated testing of software applications. This role involves understanding project requirements, designing test cases, executing tests, reporting defects, and collaborating with development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. You will work under the guidance of Senior Engineers and Team Leads, contributing to the overall testing strategy and maintaining the testing process.
Analyze software requirements and design test cases based on acceptance criteria.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of test scripts and automation frameworks.
Execute manual and automated test suites to identify defects and ensure software quality.
Conduct multiple cycles of application testing until all requirements are fully met, providing quality certification with specific evidence.
Collaborate with development teams to perform quality checks on application changes, ensuring adherence to testing standards and best practices.
Coordinate with various downstream and upstream application teams to validate implemented changes across different application flows.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) teams during the final business-centric validations to ensure successful user acceptance of changes.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to enhance software quality.
Work with senior engineers and leads to improve testing processes and methodologies.
Skills and Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of experience in automation and functional testing.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related STEM fields, or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with testing methodologies, automation tools, and scripting languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
Proficient in designing and executing test cases.
Possesses basic programming skills for test automation.
Familiar with testing tools, including Selenium, API, LoadRunner, JMeter, AppDynamics, Application Insights, UFT, ReadyAPI, JIRA, SynapseRT, Java, SQL, and Service Virtualization.
Understands defect tracking systems and test management tools.
