General Summary of Job Details :
A leading global banking organization is seeking a Test Engineer to join its technology team. This position focuses on ensuring high software quality by designing, executing, and improving testing processes across applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement detailed test strategies and test cases to verify software performance, reliability, and compliance with quality benchmarks.
Develop and run automated test scripts using modern testing tools and frameworks to identify issues early in the development lifecycle.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand functional requirements and define clear acceptance criteria.
Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues effectively.
Participate in peer reviews and contribute to best practices that strengthen overall code quality and team knowledge sharing.
Stay updated with evolving industry trends, tools, and technologies, and actively contribute to technical forums or internal communities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong programming knowledge in Java and Python.
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, along with frameworks like TestNG or JUnit, and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks, including BDD-based frameworks.
Solid understanding of manual and functional testing, including test scenario creation (positive, negative, and edge cases).
Experience working with banking or corporate banking applications is an advantage.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot technical issues.
Clear communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps environments.
Passion for continuous learning and keeping pace with emerging technologies.
