General Summary of Job Details :
Join us as an Automation Tester at Barclays responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. You’ll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionise our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences.
To be successful as an Automation Tester you should have experience with:
Strong Hands-on experience in Java coding.
Relevant experience in Microservice and API automation testing using gherkins(BDD), cucumber-based framework
Should be involved in test automation projects right from the framework design, framework amendments to execution
Define and build robust, modular, and reusable Automation frameworks and retain accountability for ensuring all Test Automation Analysts understand and adhere to the framework.
Well versed with setting-up Test Environment with required test data & appropriate level of access
Strong in SQL/PL-SQL & Unix
Cucumber JVM, Maven, Git , Spring Framework(preferred)
Familiar with IDEs such as Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA
Hands on experience in Selenium scripting
Experience of converting BA stories into test scenarios/cases
Hands-on experience of test cases/scenarios writing & test execution
Well versed with JIRA and defect lifecycle
Good written and verbal communication skills
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Knowledge on Either Cards/ Loans/Payments domain is preferred
Have experience in story point estimation technique or business case estimation and agile way of working
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Project Documentation, following processes, and best practices for the team.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to address complex challenges . Self-driven, proactive and demonstrates initiative with strong problem-solving abilities.
